This page describes the different power supply cable and cable plus connectors (cable kit) which are being sold.  Supply of these components varies from time to time so every combination may not always be available.  Current stock and ordering should be done on the HP-23 Power Supply Parts List at Cable Kit Ordering.  Kits contain the major components to construct a power cable for using an HP-23 series power supply with many of the Heathkit transceivers in the HW- and SB- lines. 

The order page lists 42 and 50 inch cable wire only of various sixes without any connectors. You might want to order this if you already have the 11-pin connectors.  The order page also lists complete cable kits with the wire cable and the connectors at each end (less a few items you will need to build the cable, such as solder and some small insulation tubing to go over the indiuvidual lug terminations).  

To help you understand the cable order page, the following descriptions are given below:

CONDUCTOR CABLE ONLY (no connectors)

Part Number CA42-18-16 is a 42" length of new 8 conductor cable with 2 conductors being gauge 16 for the filament connections and 6 conductors being gauge 18 for the remainder of the connections (18 gauge is smaller than 16 gauge).  This is just about identical to the original cable supplied by Heathkit although the color coding for the different wire sizes may not be identical to the original Heathkit cables.

Part Number CA50-18-16 is identical to the above cable but is 50" long.

Part Number CA42-18-8 is a 42" length of new 8 conductor cable with all 8 conductors being gauge 18.  Since these cables are somewhat shorter than the original Heathkit cables, they still provide adequate filament voltages to the transceiver even with the slightly smaller filament conductors.  This cable tends to be a little more flexible than the 18-16 cable.  Color coding may be different than the original Heathkit cables.  

Part Number CA50-18-8 is identical to the above cable but is 50" long.

Part Number CA42-18-10 is a 42" length of new 10 conductor cable with all 10 conductors being gauge 18.  This a can be used two or three ways, such as using two wires each for the filament connectors thereby providing similar resistance properties as the 16 gauge cable listed earlier, using one or two of the extra wires for antenna relay and/or amplifier keying, or as an 8-conductor cable with two extra wires for future use.  Color coding may be different than the original Heathkit cables.  

Part Number CA50-18-10 is identical to the above cable but is 50" long.

CABLE KITS (cable and connectors for each end)

Part Number CK42-18-16 includes the CA42-18-16 cable described above and one male and one female 11-pin connector with shells.*  

Part Number CK50-18-16 is identical to the above cable kit but the cable is 50" long.

Part Number CK42-18-8 includes the CA42-18-8 cable described above and one male and one female 11-pin connector with shells.*  

Part Number CK50-18-8 is identical to the above cable kit but the cable is 50" long.

Part Number CK42-18-10 includes the CA42-18-10 cable described above and one male and one female 11-pin connector with shells.*  

Part Number CK50-18-10 is identical to the above cable kit but the cable is 50" long.

* Both the male and female connectors are either NEW or NOS and have never been soldered and  will solder nicely to provide a trouble-free cable for years to come.  The shells are either NEW, NOS, or very slightly used.  They have either a rubber grommet or a cable clamp where the cable goes through the shell.  Some NOS shells may have a few scratches from being on the shelf for years but are perfectly useable.
