OLD HEATHKIT PARTS "BANNED" LIST |
|
One of the nice things about running this Heathkit Parts web site is the caliber of people I deal with. Almost without exception the amateurs and radio enthusiasts I deal with are knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. The fact that the amateur community is like a fraternity where everyone is willing to help another and have grown up with a strong sense of fairness to their fellow man is supported by my experiences in running this web site. Before I fully realized those facts, I made this page with the intent of listing anybody who doesn't deal with Old Heathkit Parts fairly, and to ban them from future dealings with Old Heathkit Parts. To my great relief and happiness, I have never* had to add anyone to my table below during the years I have been running this web site. Let's keep it that way and don't be the first person to appear in the list below. *UPDATE: Unfortunately, there seems to be a bad apple in every barrel. I've reluctantly had to add a rouge ham to the banned list recently. See below. Many thanks to the amateur community for your support and honest dealings. -Bob, K8GNZ. |

Ordered parts, but did not install them according to directions which
caused some to fail. He then ordered new replacement parts for the
ones he damaged but later wanted his money back for these parts, which
was accepted if he returned the unused parts. He wouldn't return
any parts and also tried unsuccessfully to get his PayPal payment
refunded. In frustration of his own lack of electronic knowledge,
he then resorted to name calling in his emails. Obviously, this
ham has some kind of problem and probably should be avoided. I
would imagine that he has had run-ins with others from the way he acted
with me.
