This interactive CD
contains information on the Heathkit HP-23D Power Supply rebuild kit and
other Heathkit information. This "Heathkit Preview CD1" includes a complete set of instructions for building the kit, including color pictures and directions for each step. The CD runs in your PC and you navigate through the instructions just like navigating to different web pages on the Internet.
The kit building instructions also contain a wealth of information about the various models in the Heathkit HP-23 series of power supplies. For the most part, the schematic and an inside picture of each model is included, together with a chart comparing the simimarties and differences of each model. These include items such as AC input voltages, output filament voltages, if they include an ON-OFF switch, whether they have fixed or adjustable bias voltage, whether fused or circuit breaker protection, etc. Probably everything and more than you ever wanted to know about these universal power supplies.
Use this Preview CD for the wealth of information contained therein and/or to decide whether you are up to the task of building this kit. (Kits are supplied with the latest set of instructions on CD, so use the CD in the kit for actual building and not this Preview CD).
As a bonus to the HP-23 information, CD1 also includes some more general and model specific Heathkit information.
Some of the items are: HW-101 (much also applies to the HW-100) parts listings from the manual, specifications, service bulletins issued by Heathkit, PS cable wiring diagram, SB-101 (much also applies to the SB-100 and SB-102) parts listings from the manual, microphone wiring diagram, and a History of the Heathkit Company.
